Whispering Springs Rescue and Research Center is dedicated to restoring the Pere David's Deer to the wild.
Pere David's deer have been extinct in the wild for nearly 800 years.
Only a few small herds remain in the world and all are in captivity. 
It is the goal of our organization to restore these animals to their native habitat,
 but also to attempt to begin herds in other places to prevent the extinction of the species.
However, for this project to be successful we need your help. The project will cost well over $500,000 over the next three years.  
We are funded completely by private donation at this time and for this project to be a success we need the contributions of people like you.
